Remarkable achievements have been made in the development of the automobile industry. In 2012, the construction of the No.3 Automobile Plant of Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors Co., Ltd., which drew widespread public attention with an annual production capacity of 300,000 complete vehicles and 250,000 engines, officially kicked off and proceeded in full swing. Scheduled for completion and commissioning in the first quarter of 2014, the plant will lift the Group’s annual automobile production capacity to over 800,000 units. The all-new strategic model K3 of the K series was launched with great success. In the 2013 Sina Car of the Year Awards, the K3 and K2 won the titles of Mid-size Car of the Year and Compact Car of the Year respectively, effectively demonstrating the strength of the company’s K-series vehicle lineup.

New progress was registered in the development of the textile industrial chain. The Nanwei Yueda Textile Research Institute was officially inaugurated. Strategic cooperation agreements were signed with Lenzing Group of Austria and a Nordic fashion design company. Outstanding results were achieved in the integration of industrialization and informatization. The Group represented the textile industry at the National Exhibition on Achievements of the Integration of Industrialization and Informatization and was awarded the first National Textile Industry Quality Award. Yueda Home Textiles jointly built three industry-university-research innovation cooperation bases with Donghua University and other institutions and set up the Yueda Home Textiles Exhibition & R&D Center.
